Payment Update- April 13, 2015

On 3/16/15 there was a major technical issue with one of the systems.  Apparently the issue caused a problem with loading some of the payments entered on that day.  The programmers that work with the approval of payments were able to do some processing, and many of those payments have been approved.  However, it appears there are still some payments entered on 3/16 that need to be approved. Hopefully, those will should be approved by DHS within a couple days.  we should have a better update today or tomorrow on these.

APPROVED PAYMENTS

**On Thursday night, 4/9 DHS approved MOST payments entered on 4/7.

**On Friday night, 4/10 DHS approved MOST of payments entered on 4/8.

**On Monday night, 4/13 DHS should approve MOST of the payments entered on 4/9.

Funding will continue, and many more payments should be approved at least for the next few days.  The fastest payments can be approved by DHS is two working days after be entered.

***DHS always notes MOST on approval of payments because some payments get held up for individual technical issues or other provider specific issues.

When payments start to approve, providers can generally view the approved payments at:

*Go to tab:  FOR PROVIDERS

*Click on:  PAYMENTS

*Click on:  PROVIDER PAYMENT INQUIRY

Enter:  SS# or FEIN

Click on:  Submit

-most recent approved payment will be noted at the top of the page.  The CVR column is the approved date.

PAYMENTS ISSUED BY THE OFFICE OF THE COMPTROLLER

**On Thursday night, 4/2, DHS approved  MOST of the remaining payments entered up to 3/27 that were not already approved.   SOME of the payments approved by DHS on 4/2 have not been issued yet at The Comptroller’s Office.  Apparently, there was a problem with the computer tape at DHS that held some of those records.  The payments approved by DHS on 4/2 are now at The Comptroller’s Office and should be issued tonight 4/13 or Tuesday night 4/14.    

**Payments approved on 4/7 were issued on 4/9

**Payments approved on 4/8 were issued on Friday night 4/10.

**Payments approved on 4/9 should be issued on 4/13 or 4/14.

With funding in place, payment should be issued 1-3 working days after being approved by DHS.

Reminder on the issue process:

Generally, payments are issued 1-3 working days after the payments are approved by DHS.  Payments are issued at night.  Paper checks are mailed the working day following the issue date of the payment.  Payments issued as direct deposit and debit card should be in accounts two working days from the issue date of the payment.  Weekends and holidays are not working days.  (example:  payment issued on a Thursday is mailed on Friday.  Direct deposit and debit card payments issued on Thursday, are in accounts on Monday. Add an extra day for a holiday).
