Child Care Payment Update: March 19, 2015

March 19, 2015 at 3:13 pm

Thank you to IDHS for keeping us informed regarding child care  payment

Now that Federal monies are available , IDHS is able to approve some more payments. Please remember that the policy is ” first in, first out” meaning that they will begin will approving payments entered with the oldest entry date first. Based on previous information, we believe they will be entering payments entered after February 4th. Payments did get approved by DHS on Monday night.  IT IS IMPORTANT TO NOTE, EVEN THOUGH AN APPROVAL HAS BEEN MADE, THE APPROVAL IS NOT SHOWING UP ON THE DHS WEBSITE OR ON THE PROVIDER 800 NUMBER. We are hopeful this will be fixed very soon. Entry dates that were approved on 3/16 included MOST payments entered on 2/5, 2/6, and some payments entered on 2/9.  The payments approved on Monday 3/16/15 have not been able to be  forwarded to the Office of the Comptroller for issuing yet due to a processing issue.   We are hopeful these payments will still be able to be issued within the next few working days, but at this point,  there no guarantee on that.   Once, the processing issue is fixed, later entry dates will be able to be approved soon after. At this time, it appears DHS will have funding to approve MOST payments entered in February. and possibly a small portion of payments entered on March 1st and 2nd.
