Child Care Payment Update March 13, 2015 – Still Relying on Only Federal Funding

March 13, 2015 at 2:24 pm

Thank you to IDHS Child Care Bureau Staff for the continued updates:

Approval of Payments by DHS

We are still currently only operating with Federal funding. On Monday night, 3/16, the mid-month Federal funding will become available to start to approve payments.  On 3/16,  DHS should approve the payments entered on 2/5 not already approved, and Most payments entered on 2/6 and probably some payments entered on 2/9.  Later entry dates should be approved throughout the week of 3/16 – 3/20, or until the Federal allocation for the month runs out.  Without additional State funding, DHS will still not be able to approve all payments waiting for approval.  At this point, we believe many of the payments entered in February will be approved within the coming week.  But,  payments entered in March probably  won’t be able to start being approved until mid-month funding is in place in mid-April.  Of course, most these delays would change if additional State funding is added.
