Child Care Payment Update- December 9th

December 9, 2013 at 4:05 pm

**Approval of payments:

**Wednesday night  12/4, a small number of payments entered on 12/2 became approved by DHS, and those payments were issued by The Office of the Comptroller on Thursday 12/5.  (However, it looks like the approval and issue information on these payments has not carried over to PF11, or 800-804-3833 yet).  Those payments issued do show in the Office of the Comptroller screens.

**Thursday day night 12/5, the remainder of the payments entered on 12/2 not approved on Wednesday, and a very small portion of payments entered on 12/3 were approved by DHS.   It appears those payments were issued by The Office of the Comptroller on Friday night 12/6.

**Friday night 12/6, a very small portion of payments entered on 12/3 were approved by DHS.

**The funding to approve payments will be very limited until around 12/13.  Starting around 12/13, funding should be available to continue approving a large number of payments  waiting for approval.

 Payments Issued at Comptroller Office:

**Reminder on the payment process:  payment gets entered into the system, when funding is available for the payment, the payment is approved/vouchered.  Generally, 1-3 working days after the payment is approved/vouchered it will be issued by The Office of the Comptroller.  Providers can follow issued payments at The Office of the  Comptroller web site of:  www.ioc.state.il.us (financial inquiries, vendor payments,).   Payments are issued at night, if a provider is paid via paper check it will go in the mail the next working day.  If a provider is paid through direct deposit or debit card, it will be in the account two working days after the issue date.  (Weekends and holidays are not working days).
