December 5, 2013 at 2:06 am

**Approval of payments:

Great News! It appears there is going to be some funding available to approve some payments early in the month.  Here is a breakdown of what should be approved in the next few days:

**Wednesday night  12/4, we should have half of the payments entered on 12/2 become approved by DHS.  These payments should be issued by The Office of the Comptroller around Friday 12/6.

**Thursday night 12/5, the remainder of the payments entered on 12/2 not approved on Wednesday, and a very small portion of payments entered on 12/3 should be approved by DHS.

**After Thursday 12/5 the funding to approve payments will be very limited until around 12/13.  Starting around 12/13, funding should be available to continue approving a large number of payments  waiting for approval.

 Payments Issued at Comptroller Office:

**Reminder on the payment process:  payment gets entered into the system, when funding is available for the payment, the payment is approved/vouchered.  Generally, 1-3 working days after the payment is approved/vouchered it will be issued by The Office of the Comptroller.  Providers can follow issued payments at The Office of the  Comptroller web site of:  www.ioc.state.il.us (financial inquiries, vendor payments,).   Payments are issued at night, if a provider is paid via paper check it will go in the mail the next working day.  If a provider is paid through direct deposit or debit card, it will be in the account two working days after the issue date.  (Weekends and holidays are not working days).
