IDHS Child Care Payments in January

January 4, 2013 at 5:56 pm

Just a reminder that most child care payments are made using Federal funds that do not become available until later each month. For budgeting purposes, providers should expect that payments are issued approximately 3 weeks after they are entered.

There is a very small amount of funds available tonight that will approve a small portion of the payments entered on 1/2.  Those payments that are approved tonight should show  the  800-804-3833  number on Monday.  There also will be another small portion of payments entered on 1/2 that will be approved around 1/8 or 1/9.

Otherwise, most payments entered on 1/2 and later will probably not start to become approved by DHS until around the middle of the month, 1/15.  This means that the first large amount of payments entered on 1/2 probably won’t be issued at The Office of the Comptroller until around 1/16 – 1/18.

Payments are generally issued by The Office of the Comptroller one to three working days after the payment is approved.

Payments are issued at night, and are mailed the next working days for those paid by check.

Payments that are issued through direct deposit, or on the debit master card, are in the account or on the debit card, two working days after issued.

Weekends and holidays are not working days.
