CCR&R Issues Food Pantry Challenge: Help Stock Their Shelves During the Holidays

The past months have been extremely  difficult for local food pantries. It has become almost impossible to keep up with the increased demand and in some cases families have had to be turned away or given less food than their family needs.  Child Care Resource and Referral (CCR&R) and are dedicated to connecting families and communities with resources.  During the month of November we are asking community members to help their local food pantries ‘stock the shelves ” for the holidays. It’s easy to participate.
1) Go to the website. Take a look around and become familiar with our site.
2) Look at the tabs at the top and click on contact, and then go to comments /question.
3) Complete the form. In the comment box put the name of your local food pantry. Enter in numbers in the box and click on send…. That’s it… your vote is  now submitted.
4) Once you have submitted your email vote, you can earn a bonus vote by liking on Facebook.
5) No more than one vote per email address.
6) Voting begins November 1st and runs through November 30th.
7) The food pantry receiving the most votes will receive a $500 gift card to help “stock their shelves”. Second place receives $300 and third place, $200.
8) To be eligible, a food pantry must be willing to include their information on the website.

Voting starts November 1st. No votes submitted before that time will be counted.
