Child Care Payment Update – June 15, 2012

June 15, 2012 at 3:46 pm

Child Care Payments are being processed on a regular basis and we expect them to be issued within the new three week payment cycle timeline.

Remember, there are three steps to the payment process-

1) ENTRY– CCR&R enters the payment  or the home providers calls in the payment by telephone).

2) Once entered, information is electronically sent to DHS, who APPROVES the payment

3) The approved payment information is sent to the Comptroller who ISSUES the payment which is made by check, direct deposit or on a debit card, depending on the provider’s preference.

Some payments that were entered in June 1st were issued by the Comptroller’s office last night. ( June 14th)

The remainder of payments entered on June 1st and many entered on June 4th were APPROVED for payment by DHS last night (June 14th.) Now that they are approved they will be sent to the Comptroller’s office so that payment can be issued. Generally it takes 2-3 business days for this to happen.

The remaining June 4th payments that were not approved yesterday and most payments that were entered on June 5th and some from June 6th should be APPROVED for payment by IDHS tonight (June 15th). Once complete they will be sent to the Comptroller’s office so payments can be issued .

*Most remaining payments entered on 6/6 that don’t get approved on Friday, most payments entered on 6/7, and some payments entered on 6/8 should be approved Monday night 6/18

**Again, generally, payments will be issued by The Office of the Comptroller 2-3 working days after the payment is approved by DHS
