Increased Child Care Rates:Effective January 2012

IDHS Child Care Payment Rates will be updated as of January 1, 2012.

To receive the new rates, licensed home and center providers and license exempt centers must return a completed Rate Certification form to CCRR . These forms were mailed to providers in November and can also be found at

Providers cannot charge the State of Illinois rates that exceed the maximum allowed by the State and rates that are higher than those charged by the provider to the general public for similar services. This includes discounts such as multiple child discounts, staff discounts, full-week discounts, pre-pay discounts, and sliding fee scales.

 New maximum rates for licensed home providers are as follows:

Under 2- full time   24.79 per day. 12.40 per day half time

Age  2-  full time   23.65 per day, 11.83 per day half time

Age 3 and older – full time 22.51 per day, 11.26 per day half time

New maximum rates for licensed centers are :

Under 2- full time 33.53 per day ,  16.77 per day half time

Age 2- full time 28.46 per day,  14.23 per day half time

Age 3 and older- full time  23.77 per day, 11.89 half time

School-Age – 11.89 per day

Maximum rates for license exempt centers are;

Under 2- full time 29.20  per day ,  14.60 per day half time

Age 2- full time 24.80 per day,  12.40 per day half time

Age 3 and older- full time  20,70 per day, 10.35  half time

School-Age – 10.74 per day
